Celebrating 8 years of You Grow Girl

Celebrate with Gayla, and maybe win some pretty awesome prizes, by submitting a funny, poignant, silly, or heartfelt haiku in her Eighth Birthday and First Annual Celebratory Haiku Contest

When Fluffco became an official company back in 1999, one of the first projects to really take shape was Gayla’s online magazine, You Grow Girl. Amazingly, it’s been 8 years since the site was launched in February of 2000. Much has changed since You Grow Girl was first launched and Gayla’s passion and interest in plant-life, gardening, ecology, and connecting with like-minded people has only grown. Gayla is now a celebrated author and …

BlogHer ‘07: Blogging is More Than Words

Friday July 27th, Chicago
http://blogher.org

“Many bloggers actually consider their online space a visual medium. Can the online rendition of your visual output really do it justice? What do visual artists get out of showing their work online? What about virtual collaboration? Gayla Trail moderates a conversation with bloggers Tracey Clark, Renee Garner, Keri Smith and Zoe Strauss, who are making the most of technology to further their non-textual art.”

MakingRoom Magazine Issue 3

It feels like the third issue of MakingRoom Magazine has just been discovered in the ruins of some ancient civilization. We invite you to blow the dust off of your bookmarks and have a look at the work of: William Greiner, Christian Patterson, Richard Colman, and Clark Hsiao.

We also have a feature on Samia Saleem’s great New Orleans postcard project Degrees of Separation.

MakingRoom is a magazine about the process, intention and results of image-making published by Davin Risk and Ross Evertson.

Cobbler’s Children Get New Shoes

Yes! Goodbye 2001! We have finally redesigned and reorganized the Fluffco site after literally years of neglect. Okay, so in some ways it’s more of an upgrade than a redesign but we’re very glad for it just the same.

This reawakening also means that we intend to actually use this site to tie together the variety of websites, activities, services, products, and artwork that all gather under the Fluffco umbrella.

This blog will also be used with greater frequency so pull the feed into your reader of choice and stay tuned.
