Amy Stein - Stranded

Recently presented as part of SMoCA’s Car Culture exhibition, Amy Stein’s on-going Stranded series visualizes American social and political isolation. Stein’s extensive travels across the US to purposefully witness motorists stranded in America’s in-between spaces form a unique look at another middle America. The You Grow Girl™ Eighth Birthday and First Annual Celebratory Haiku Contest

Celebrating 8 years of You Grow Girl

Celebrate with Gayla, and maybe win some pretty awesome prizes, by submitting a funny, poignant, silly, or heartfelt haiku in her Eighth Birthday and First Annual Celebratory Haiku Contest

When Fluffco became an official company back in 1999, one of the first projects to really take shape was Gayla’s online magazine, You Grow Girl. Amazingly, it’s been 8 years since the site was launched in February of 2000. Gayla is now a celebrated author and …

Low Resolution 2008 Planner

lowres planner

This is a bit late, but just before the holidays I was contacted by Soapbox Design here in Toronto about an 2008 agenda project they were working on. These planners were customized for me with a cover that says “low resolution” and I will sign each copy. Each planner has 49 full colour photos and is beautifully designed by Soapbox and …

Photobook: “I have been where you are.”

NOW ON SALE: http://www.lulu.com/content/627660

Photography is an emotional and intuitive process for me. Scenes, objects, and the subtleties of light and colour are like emotional bookmarks. The images act as stand-ins for my experience and hopefully extend it for others to find their own emotions and memories. — Davin
