What Do We Have To Say For Ourselves?
Fluffco are designers and creators of things online and off.
We’ve been active since 1990, first exploring the text-based internet and growing as designers and artists as the web grew around us. We are dually fascinated by art and science. What drives us, especially online, are aesthetics which foster investigation and suggest experimentation.
The idea behind Fluffco is that we create unique content sites while also acting as a creative services company for clients with individual needs. Because we’re a two-person company, Fluffco appreciates the needs of small to mid-sized clients with distinctive outlooks.
It isn’t all Flash and gifs at Fluffco either. With two fine arts degrees behind us, we like to get our hands on things without screens and mice. Some of our hands-on projects even end up for sale on our retail outlet SUPERfantastico.com. That said, we can be pulled back to the screen to work on print projects — we love ink on paper!
Gayla Trail
Gayla Trail is an accomplished designer, writer, and photographer with a background in the Fine Arts, cultural criticism, and ecology. Gayla is the creator of the popular gardening project, You Grow Girl and the author of You Grow Girl: The Groundbreaking Guide to Gardening (Simon & Schuster).
Gayla is also a frequent speaker, and spokesperson on the topics of urban gardening, ecology, and community.
Davin Risk
Davin Risk is a designer with over 12 years of professional experience in new media and a background in intermedia fine arts. Davin co-founded Fluffco with Gayla Trail in 1999 and has worked consistently on interactive projects with narrative, culture, and community as their focus. Davin also co-publishes the arts website MakingRoom.
